Today I painted an antler I found years ago in the woods in Maine. I've been wanting to paint it for ages. I painted it blue first and after a month of displeasure, I painted it white and dipped it's tips in gold. It is by far the most elegant item in my shop and I worry that it seems out of place. Even if it does, it will have some company soon because I'm going to be painting my other antlers too. I really enjoyed photographing this old treasure of mine. It's form inspired what I feel are the loveliest photographs I've taken in a long time.

I love it! I've never even thought about painting up my old antlers. When I shed the ones currently growing out of my skull, I'll have to paint them pink.
I'm sure someone will fall in love with that elegant antler. The photos of it in your shop are beautiful!
You're so sweet heather! i think you'd look great with pink antlers too.
