I'm sending out my Pika Package entries today for the August package. Amy (Pikaland's numero uno) featured my scarf bunny journal on the blog a few months ago and I've been intending to participate ever since. I'm excited to be part of this because the company is so good; many of my favorite illustrators have sent their work in so far and I look forward to seeing what the August edition contains! I made this little drawing as a surprise treat for Amy since she was so nice to feature my journal. I hope she likes it! I surely enjoyed spending a long time looking at pikas for reference. They are like little bunny-hamsters!

Wow - what a great illustration! Pika makes me think of Pokemon (is that okay to admit?).
I think I need to explain myself after saying that. Pikachu was the name of the yellow thing in Pokemon and he'd often say "Pika pika" so yeah, that is where I got that.
That is adorable, they do look like bunny hamsters!
