I knew it was coming but I didn't want to believe.
Riso (the maker of all my Print Gocco supplies) has discontinued the manufacturing of Gocco bulbs and screens. I kept ignoring the truth until I went to order supplies and most places were sold out or had raised prices. I found one place that still had some at a reasonable cost and spent all my earnings from Bazaar Bizarre on a load that should last a year or more. I just wish I hadn't waited until the last minute. The first stage of grief is denial though and I hung on to that one for too long.
I love printing on my trusty Gocco and I will miss it terribly when my stash runs out but this situation has me figuring out new options for Argyle Whale that are just as exciting as the loss is sad.

supply stockpiling

I grieve for you, it's such a panicky feeling when you can't get your supplies! I had that panic this week when I was trying to stock up on my nightlights. Manufacturer wouldn't sell direct and I had my family running to various AC Moores and cleaning them out.
I recommend you start experimenting with other brands *before* your stash runs out. And have everyone you know hit shops near them and stock up for you.
This news, combined with the news that my beloved polaroid film is also not long for the world is enough to send me into a panic.
I'm turning into a hoarder.
Me too Jennie Lynn! I am heartbroken about polaroid as well.
Gah! I hadn't heard that and I haven't had my gocco printer for that long! I'll have to run to my local store that carries it and start my own hoard...that is if they have any left. Wah!
