I really love celebrating my birthday. I start it a little early and stretch it out as long as I can. I think it is the only time of year when it's possible to tell I was an only child. I relish the attention, special treatment, extra hugs, cake and PRESENTS! I love presents and I am not above buying one or two for myself (like the dish set above). I especially love pestering Justin to find out what present he got me. He is a tough egg to crack though!
I've already enjoyed a nice visit with my parents and I'm having a special date with Justin tomorrow. We're going into Boston to visit the Institute of Contemporary Art. Classy!
I am probably not going to be able to sleep tonight.

I think it's so wonderful that our birthdays are so near to each other!
I woke up at 4:30am on my birthday, on the day of my party, and the day before the party. So, I hear you.
hehehe ~ you sound like me before my birthday. I get SO excited starting about a week or two before.. And of course you HAVE to buy yourself something!
Theresa, last summer, I was up at 430 on my birthday too. I took pictures of my birthday sunrise (on Flickr).
(not an only child, but the only girl, plus my gramma's only granddaughter :)
