butt fluff is for the birds!

This post can be classified in the "utterly frivolous" category but I feel like sharing anyway because bunny fluff makes people smile (I think).

So Hodge is usually pretty well groomed (mostly because of Yoshimi) but lately he had developed "tufty butt syndrome" so some serious plucking was in order. Justin coaxed him to sleep while I snuck up behind him and furiously pulled out loose fur patches until he looked more like a bunny and less like a peacock. I pulled out a massive ball of fur and, hating to throw away good material, tossed it out the window where the breeze lifted it away. I hope some bird finds it and makes the most luxurious fur-lined nest ever!

After the furball sailed away, I noticed that my neighbor had been watching the whole scene. He undoubtedly suspects I'm crazy now!
