What a relief!

First off, I hope everyone had a happy Easter. It isn't a big holiday for me but I spent time being extra sweet to the bunnies since it's their day. It also marks the end of hot cross bun season at the bakery and my mornings will certainly be less sweet without their deliciousness.

Maybe some of you have noticed that I haven't been blogging as much lately and I haven't posted about a new project in two weeks. I was having a dramatic creative block and was dissatisfied by all my attempts to work through it. So, I just sort of shut down for a little while and indulged in springtime frolicking to rejuvenate my spirit and hopefully my brain.

Today I finally made a couple things to share and I'm feeling relieved. I tried not to be so hard on myself and not really edit my ideas. I made these "Whale in Peril" and "Quit Hatin'" plaques and let loose a bit. To be honest, if I wasn't in an idea drought; I may never have brought these two pieces to fruition. But, I did and I think they are pretty fun. Next time, I just have to remind myself that "Work makes Work" (I think Martin Puryear said that) and bust my bum a little more diligently.

Glad you got your groove back.

And it must be said: that rug is wild!

I'm so glad you noticed the rug Cicada. I got it at the dollar store last week. It is so gaudy but I love it!

Oh, poor little whale.

Sleep begets sleep, sex begets sex, and work begets work.
