Tiny spurts of making

Blogging is tricky. When I have not much going on I have time to write posts frequently and with good punctuation but the problem is that when I'm not doing anything; I don't have anything to write about. I am currently having the issue of not having any time to blog because I'm doing a ton of stuff. I really want to write thoroughly about all my goings-on but I actually should be at work right now. I am procrastinating.

I mentioned some time ago that I have been given the task of redesigning a small and unpopular cafe. I feel very enthusiastic about this project but it is a tremendous time suck. I have no energy because I've been working my regular hours at the bakery plus a whole mess of extra hours sanding and painting the cafe. My personal creative time has been squeezed out almost entirely but I am finding that it is seeping into my manner in strange ways. For example, this morning I took a very long time drizzling honey on my toast in a pretty pattern.

Small creative actions are refreshing to me and as I was walking through town leaving my first shift of work heading to my second; I started photographing my favorite pink-blossomed tree. The two photos above are my favorites. I suppose I'll have to settle for tiny spurts of making until I have more time.

Just read your post on redesigning the cafe. What a friggin' cool opportunity! I so know what you mean about treading carefully when someone else has spent their time sewing curtains and cushions. It's a hard mix. But...if the only thing you have to keep out of all of that is the black ceiling...you're good to go. I can't wait to see what you're going to do with the space.

Hope you get a second wind with all the work your have going on right now. I'd say don't worry about blogging right now (but I want to see cafe progress pictures)!!!

Really pretty tree. I just love spring!
So what did you decide to do with the cafe?

Tiny spurts are better than no spurts!
