I try not to get into politics on my blog because my opinions are all totally predictable as a young woman living in Massachusetts. But, I can't resist sharing how joyful I am that Barak Obama will be our next president. I don't think I've ever felt more proud of my country. I'm also thrilled about another win I celebrated on election night. Massachusetts has voted to end greyhound racing in 2010! Yeah! I don't know what I am going to do with this overflow of elation.
As a reaction, I finally got around to making mini prints of an old sketch in honor of the refreshing change in our government. It's available in my shop for five dollars.

It was really hard to keep the politics out of my blog- it was just too close to my heart. In the end, I'm not sure anyone is surprised by my position (Yay, Obama!). As a business tool, the blog is valuable. But really the blog is an extension of me. I can't deny my support for that man.
I love this print, and I'm with you and cicada studio on the political point of view. I pretty much keep it to myself, but Tuesday night I was out celebrating with a margarita. Yay!
No more greyhound racing?! I don't live up there but that is such! wonderful! news! A funny story: when I was young before I knew what greyhounds were I had this nightmare that a regular dog (kind of a lab I guess) was getting hit by this big evil man and the dog deflated and into what I only know now to be a greyhound haha but anyways I can't stand the idea of all the horrible things that go on in those races ):
